What is included in the fees?
There are no hidden fees with Paint + Pop. We will arrive early to set up so that we are ready to party at the agreed upon time. We do not charge extra for set up, GST, nor travel. In fact, our prices are on the low end of the professional industry, as our costs include professional materials, training, insurance, and more. How do I book?
Click Here to give us your booking details. We will review your request, reserve your entertainer(s), and contact you to secure the booking.
How far in advance should I book a face painter? How about the photobooth?
We book out as far as we can; you should aim to get in 6-8 weeks in advance. Booking early secures your opportunity to hold the schedule of the painter(s) best suited for your party. We have only 1 pop up photobooth right now, book early to avoid disappointment.
What is a Booking Fee? What is the Cancellation Policy?
The booking fee is non-refundable. It is required to hold the schedule of the artist(s) on your event date. No date is held without a booking fee, therefore, if you are presented a contract and have not yet paid the booking fee, your event date is being offered to other inquiries. We do our best to contact you if a subsequent inquiry comes in for your date within 48 hours of your contract receipt.
Please contact us as soon as you know that you wish to reschedule or cancel your booking. The booking fee is non-refundable. The remainder fee is non-refundable once paid. We can hold your payment to be used on a later date (within one calendar year of original date) if we are contacted 14 days or more in advance of the event.
How do I remove face paint?
Your skin is in good hands with the professionals of Paint + Pop. We exclusively use skin-safe, hypoallergenic, water-based cosmetic grade colour. To remove, first rub liquid soap over and into the design. Once you see colour begin to lift, use water and cloth to remove it all. If you find any colour remaining, approach with lotion or oil, like olive oil or coconut oil.
We also use Glitter Balm. Remove Glitter Balm using something like a credit card to gently scrape it off the surface of the skin and avoiding using sharp corners by the eye.
Can the Paint + Pop Team work either indoor or outdoor? What areas does Paint + Pop cover?
Our professional artists happily travel to you, up to an hour outside of the city. As Melbourne’s weather is unpredictable, outdoor bookings require cover from rain and sun. This may be a shelter in a public park, a shop awning, a marquee, tent, or other shelter. The photobooth has it’s own non-combustable power source and cellular capability.
When is my booking time and date secured?
Your booking is officially reserved once the booking fee (deposit) is paid.
What forms of payment are accepted?
Once we receive your booking request, we confirm the schedule and send you an invoice. Initial booking fee and full fee terms are listed. The booking fee can be paid with Bank Transfer and the remainder can be Bank Transfer or Cash on Day. If you meet us at a market or any pay per face event, we accept EFTPOS and cash. We accept credit card payment (Visa, Amex, Mastercard) in advance for Corporate Events or parties over $400, please inquire.

A few play centres in Melbourne do not allow face painting. Please speak with your venue to be sure.

Yes, our talented professionals are great with children. All of our artists hold current Working With Children Check and valid insurance. We have big hearts and love to make children happy at a childrens party.

What services does Paint + Pop provide?

The party guests and their personalities are all you need for this photobooth! Our Pop Up Photobooth is a gold mine for people wanting to ham it up with friends. Props would only stifle creativity and backdrops can be cumbersome and faulty, plus, the photobooth has digital extras, like stickers, overlays, and customized templates – the fun will come through in the photos, guaranteed!
